Job summary

Orbital Industries in the United Kingdom is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to bring CurieOS into customer environments, writing production code, designing architectures, building integrations and solving problems across the full breadth of industrial R&D. You will embed with customer teams, translating ambiguous high-value problems into working systems that scientists and engineers use daily.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering production software.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Experience deploying software into complex production environments.
• Interest in building software for breakthrough scientific and industrial applications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver deployments hands-on across the breadth of industrial R&D.
• Deliver complex customer deployments by writing production code, designing architectures and building integrations.
• Design and build systems that connect heterogeneous software, data and physical infrastructure.
• Build solutions embedded in how customer scientists and engineers work day-to-day.
• Embed with customer teams to understand high-value R&D problems and translate them into technical approaches.
• Own engagement from discovery through deployment and adoption, including quality.
