Contract Type: Fixed-term with the possibility of becoming a permanent employee after 12 months.

Role Overview: Indirect tax lead for UK & Europe, managing indirect taxes for the Bank and group in the UK (and parts of Europe where needed). Responsibilities include advising, partnering with the business, and supporting project and tax initiative implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver on UK indirect tax initiatives and reclaim processes
• Support the Global Tax team’s transition to the Tax Target Operating Model (“TOM”) for indirect tax compliance in the UK
• Advise on indirect tax implications of transactions impacting the UK and parts of Europe, managing post-implementation issues
• Assist with the development of systems and processes within the Bank
• Manage relationships with key regulatory stakeholders such as HMRC on indirect tax matters
• Maintain and develop effective indirect tax risk management controls aligned with policies for UK and Europe
• Implement changes from new laws, regulations, and guidance in the UK and Europe

Qualifications:

• ATT, ACA, CTA or equivalent preferred
• Membership in ICAA or CIOT preferred
