Job summary

JD.com in the United Kingdom is seeking a UK Procurement Lead to develop and execute sourcing strategies for our Logistics & Industrial portfolio. You will collaborate with International Development and Asset Management to drive cost efficiency and supply chain reliability.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years of procurement experience in UK industrial/logistics projects, strong knowledge of UK contracts, and excellent English proficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of procurement experience in UK industrial/logistics projects.
• Expert knowledge of UK construction law, JCT/NEC contracts, and local cost benchmarking.
• Full professional proficiency in English. No other language requirements.
• Proven track record of leading procurement projects and influencing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Strategy: Formulate UK-specific procurement plans aligned with global objectives and local timelines.
• Vendor Management: Build and maintain a high-performing UK supplier base including Tier 1/2 contractors and material suppliers.
• Execution: Lead end-to-end tendering process and use ERP systems to ensure cost control and timely delivery.

The Role

This position is based in the United Kingdom. This role requires an expert in the UK procurement landscape to lead development and execution for our Logistics & Industrial portfolio. You will collaborate with International Development and Asset Management teams to drive cost-efficiency and supply chain reliability.

• Leadership: Proven track record of driving procurement projects independently; strong negotiation skills and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
