Job summary

Westmorland and Furness Council is seeking an enthusiastic Independent Travel Training Officer to join the Integrated Home to School Transport Team on a full-time, permanent basis. The role focuses on delivering the Independent Travel Training offer and supporting young people with additional needs.

Based on-site at Lowther Street, the role includes mentoring, planning risk assessments for activities and contributing to the service transformation across the authority footprint.

Summary

The Integrated Home to School Transport Team are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated person to join the team delivering Westmorland & Furness Council's Independent Travel Training offer.

If you are an excellent communicator and have experience of supporting and mentoring young people with additional needs and learning difficulties in an education setting, are experienced in planning and implementing risk assessments for activities we want to hear from you.
