Job summary

Aviva plc is seeking a resilient, analytical leader to deliver COO oversight across UK IWR activities and outsourcing partners. You will challenge senior executives, interpret data trends, and drive improvements in risk controls amid evolving regulatory landscapes.

Responsibilities include independent oversight, FCA/FOS liaison, six-monthly FCA returns, and governance escalation. The role requires collaboration across three lines of defence and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Relationship management with internal/external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage risks, issues and interdependencies.
• Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities.
• Clear communication and presentation skills.
• Analytical skills to interpret large data sets.

• Conduct independent oversight and risk assurance across UK IWR businesses and outsourcing partners.
• Analyse data to identify systemic trends and evaluate internal controls.
• Provide challenge during Risk and Control Self-Assessments and escalate via governance.
