Job summary

EDF (UK) is recruiting an INA Assessment Nuclear Safety Engineer to join our team in Gloucester with flexible working location. The role focuses on Independent Nuclear Safety Assessment, regulatory compliance, and guidance across the company on nuclear safety and licensing.

Candidates should hold an engineering or science degree with demonstrable experience in nuclear safety, safety case arrangements, and related disciplines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Science with regulatory understanding.
• Experience in safety case arrangements and nuclear safety disciplines is advantageous.
• Familiarity with regulatory processes and plant operation and licensing would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent assurance that plant modifications are justified and implemented.
• Support INA assurance that Plant is operated in accordance with the Safety Case.
• Represent INA at internal and ONR technical meetings.
• Contribute to surveillance activities under the Model of Internal Regulation.
• Report on internal regulation activities to various levels within the Organisation.
• Develop and implement oversight arrangements for specific projects.
