Job summary

Aztrum is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Building Services) for its Kent-based team on a part-time basis (3 days per week). The role offers independence, direct client exposure, and clear progression toward Chartership within a close-knit SME environment.

The successful candidate will produce mechanical designs, prepare calculations and specifications, and coordinate with other disciplines to deliver projects on time and to spec.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a mechanical building services design role.
• Strong working knowledge of design software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
• Working towards Chartered status (e.g. CIBSE) would be an advantage.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Producing mechanical designs across a range of building services projects.
• Preparing detailed designs, calculations, and specifications.
• Taking on greater independence and responsibility in project delivery, with direct client and project exposure.
• Working closely with colleagues and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
• Coordinating with other disciplines to ensure fully integrated designs.
• Ensuring designs comply with current building regulations and industry standards.
