Job summary

Norfolk County Council’s Independent Living Service is seeking an experienced Independent Living Support Worker – Level 2 to join the Children’s Services team in Norwich. You will help young people develop independent living skills, contribute to planning and implement support strategies, and attend statutory reviews as required.

The role requires a full driving licence and daily access to a vehicle, good literacy and numeracy, and NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent required.
• Full driving licence and daily access to a vehicle.
• Experience in supporting young people in independent living.
• Good levels of literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Support young people in developing independent living skills.
• Assist with planning and implementing support plans and attending statutory reviews.
• Provide a positive role model and build relationships with young people and their families.
• Assist Team Managers with induction of new staff and completing relevant paperwork.
• Cover evenings, weekends, bank holidays and on-call rota as required.
