Job summary

Sunrise Group is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide support, supervision, and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community settings. The position requires a valid driver's license, basic computer skills, and at least one year in human services. Pre-employment screenings are mandatory to ensure a drug-free workplace.

Qualifications

• Must complete pre-employment Background and Drug Screenings.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License with endorsements and have driving experience.
• Minimum one year of experience in human services field per location (if required).

Responsibilities

• Identify and report suspected abuse or rights violations.
• Provide support and supervision to meet individuals' needs per their plans.
• Ensure training, behavior, and support programs are implemented and documented per regulatory requirements.
• Maintain health, safety, and well-being of individuals at all times.
• Follow positioning schedules and use equipment per plan.
• Assist with diet, textures, and equipment as required.
• Keep homes, outdoor areas and vehicles organized and well maintained.
