Job summary

AHRC Nassau is seeking a Counselor to provide direct support within its Community Living Services program. The role starts at $14.00 per hour, with pay based on experience, and requires a valid NYS driver’s license.

You will assist residents with daily living activities, health, safety, and socialization, while upholding the agency’s mission in every interaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must submit a valid NYS driver's license, and maintain a qualified driver status throughout employment.
• Must have the ability to communicate and understand written and oral directives/information

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support to the people that live in the Community Living Services program to ensure that a high quality of life is maintained.
