Job summary

Lifeways is hiring carers to support people with complex emotional and behavioural needs to live as independently as possible within their homes and local communities.

The role involves helping clients access community activities, supporting daily living tasks, and providing emotional support while promoting dignity and independence. Training and development are provided, with shift patterns including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support people to access community activities such as swimming, shopping, cafés, cinemas, museums, and social clubs.
• Encourage independence and help people achieve personal goals.
• Provide emotional support and build positive relationships.
• Assist with daily living tasks including cooking, cleaning, laundry and household management.
• Assist with personal care when required, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
• Promote choice, dignity and person-centred support at all times.
