Job summary

A rewarding opportunity for a compassionate housing support worker to deliver housing support, tenancy management and resident care within a supported accommodation setting, helping individuals build independence and achieve long-term housing stability.

As a Housing Support Worker you will provide practical and emotional support, assist with tenancy sustainment, life skills and access to community services, working face-to-face and remotely.

Qualifications

• Experience in support work, social care, housing support or similar.
• Knowledge of housing legislation, benefits systems and tenancy processes.
• Understanding safeguarding, risk management and working with vulnerable individuals.
• Strong IT skills, including case management systems and remote working tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience maintaining accurate records and producing clear reports.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident support to help individuals build independence and stability.
• Assist with life skills, budgeting, cooking, cleaning and managing appointments.
• Offer emotional support and help navigate personal challenges.
• Develop care plans, risk assessments and personalised support strategies.
• Promote safeguarding and maintain a safe living environment.
• Liaise with local authorities, landlords and partner services.
• Encourage community engagement and access to education and wellbeing services.
• Maintain accurate case notes and documentation.
