Job summary

Bracknell Forest Council is recruiting a Supported Living Advisor to help people live independently and sustain tenancies. The role is on-site at Glenfield House, involves a 37-hour week with alternate weekends, and requires a vehicle for client support.

You will work with vulnerable adults with complex mental health needs, delivering tailored social and housing-related assistance while collaborating with partners to maximise independence and choice.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering practical housing and social support to adults.
• Experience with mental health support and coordinating with partners.
• Ability to work with vulnerable adults and manage complex needs.
• DBS check required and certificate in safeguarding may be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing-related and personal support to a caseload of referred service users.
• Ensure service users are involved in their care plan and assist with transport where needed.
• Build rapport with service users using empathy, compassion and patience.
• Support management of mental health symptoms as part of an agreed plan (e.g., anxiety management).
• Promote independence, identify risks, and connect users to community resources.
