Financial Planner Role with Chartered Financial Planning Firm

Our client, a Chartered Financial Planning firm with offices across the UK, is seeking a Financial Planner to take over a client bank in Glasgow due to team movements. This employed role does not require bringing existing clients but focuses on growing and developing the assigned client book. The firm has a strong reputation in Glasgow and benefits from robust lead generation. Advisors are supported by dedicated paraplanning and administration teams.

This position is ideal for an experienced advisor from either an independent or restricted background who may find it challenging to transfer clients from their current firm. The firm prefers candidates who are Chartered or nearing Chartered status.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Client Engagement: Contact clients and arrange meetings, either in-office or at clients' homes or businesses.
2. Financial Review: Conduct comprehensive reviews of clients' financial situations, current provisions, and future goals.
3. Financial Planning: Analyze information and develop tailored financial plans.
4. Risk Assessment: Complete risk analyses for clients.
5. Market Research: Research marketplace products and services, informing clients of suitable options.
6. Client Support: Assist clients in making informed decisions.
7. Information Gathering: Collect data from various sources, including product providers.
8. Ongoing Review: Monitor and respond to clients' changing needs and circumstances.
9. Regulatory Knowledge: Stay updated with financial products and legislation.

Successful candidates will be Chartered Financial Advisors or working towards Chartered status. Alternatively, candidates with a Diploma who are willing to complete the Chartered exams will also be considered. Candidates should have experience managing and growing a diverse client bank, be Glasgow-based, and willing to attend the office at least three days a week for client meetings.
