Job summary

FCMS NW Ltd is seeking an experienced echocardiographer to independently perform and report adult transthoracic echocardiograms in a community setting. You will lead clinical governance, train staff, and participate in MDTs while maintaining accreditation and CPD.

Applicants should hold BSc in Healthcare Science/Cardiac Physiology with AHCS/HCPC registration and BSE/EACVI TTE Adult accreditation, and be prepared to travel between remote clinical locations if needed.

Qualifications

• BSc in Healthcare Science/Cardiac Physiology or equivalent.
• AHCS or HCPC registration required.
• BSE/EACVI TTE Adult accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report adult transthoracic echocardiograms to BSE standards.
• Prioritise own workload based on clinical urgency.
• Provide timely reports and inform referrers of management changes.
• Analyse complex information and make autonomous decisions.
• Lead and train staff and trainees.
• Maintain equipment and report faults promptly.
• Participate in MDT meetings and service development.
