Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited in West Bromwich is seeking an experienced Accounts & Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day accounts from start to finish. This full-time role offers 34 hours per week with flexible working arrangements and on-site parking.

You will handle payroll, VAT returns, invoicing, purchase ledger, and liaise with external accountants. Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll is essential, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven bookkeeping and accounts experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll.
• Confident managing accounts processes independently.
• Experience with invoicing, purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, VAT, PAYE and pensions.

Responsibilities

• Processing payroll and pension administration
• Managing PAYE submissions and HMRC payments
• Raising sales invoices and maintaining the sales ledger
• Credit control and chasing outstanding payments
• Bank reconciliations
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Maintaining accurate financial records using Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll
• Liaising with external accountants when required
• Proven bookkeeping and accounts experience
