Job summary

PwC UK seeks a solutions-focused Manager in Independence who thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds relationships, and shapes the future of professional services. You will advise practice teams on independence requirements, manage key processes, coach juniors, and liaise with senior stakeholders across the firm and network.

You will support audit tenders and major transitions, advise on independence considerations during client rotations, and collaborate with engagement teams on non-audit

Qualifications

• Strong judgment, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Team player with ambition, self-management, and adaptability.
• Knowledge of independence or conflict rules is beneficial; training provided.
• Strong communicator at all levels, including delivering difficult messages to senior leaders.
• Strategic thinker with project management skills and drive to completion.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Able to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Advising practice teams on independence requirements - helping them navigate regulations and structure services effectively.
• Managing key independence processes ensuring seamless operational efficiency.
• Coaching junior team members - enhancing their knowledge, problem-solving abilities and soft skills.
• Working with and reporting to senior stakeholders across the firm and network.
• Supporting audit tenders and major transitions, advising on independence considerations during client rotations.
• Collaborating with engagement teams across the firm, guiding them on non-audit services and technology tool permissibility.
