Vitality, a leading UK life and health insurer, is seeking an Income Protection Claims Specialist to assess claims fairly and compassionately. You will work with a skilled team to deliver robust outcomes while upholding high standards of technical excellence, compliance and service.

The role involves end-to-end claims handling, coordinating with underwriters, reinsurers and the Financial Ombudsman Service as needed.

Qualifications

• Broad experience assessing and managing Income Protection claims.
• Strong knowledge of complex claim scenarios and regulatory environment.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and ability to share knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assess Income Protection claims from notification to decision, gathering medical and financial information.
• Manage claims in line with regulatory requirements and SLAs.
• Draft clear claims decision letters and correspondence for stakeholders.
• Build relationships with underwriters, management, reinsurers and other stakeholders.
• Share expertise with colleagues and coach others.
• Deliver exceptional service while following internal client service practices.
