Job summary

BASE71 Barnsley Youth Zone seeks Sessional Youth Workers in Inclusion to create a safe, fun environment where young people with disabilities can thrive. You will support activities, personal care, feeding and medication with training provided.

Role involves engaging youths aged 8-19 (up to 25 with SEND), showing energy, empathy and safeguarding knowledge to empower voices and promote equality across diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people with disabilities and/or SEND in groups or individually.
• Experience of working with ages 8–19, or up to 25 with SEND.
• Experience with diverse backgrounds and challenging needs.
• GCSE or equivalent literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging activities in a safe, fun, and inclusive environment.
• Support personal care, feeding and medication where required (training provided).
• Help young people aged 8–19 (up to 25 with SEND) build confidence and voice.
