Job summary

Base71 Youth Zone in Barnsley invites applications for a Sessional Youth Worker - Health & Wellbeing to run engaging sessions in our Health & Wellbeing room. You’ll work with young people aged 8–19 (or up to 25 with SEND) delivering hair, nails, and wellbeing activities in a fun, inclusive setting.

You will foster a safe, welcoming environment, promote positive lifestyle choices, and support participants to build confidence and practical skills with safeguarding and inclusion training provided.

Qualifications

• Practical skills in hair, nails, or beauty.
• Experience delivering health, beauty, or wellbeing activities with young people.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and inclusion is essential; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fun, safe, and inclusive Health & Wellbeing sessions for 8–19 (or up to 25 with SEND).
• Create a welcoming environment that encourages participation and inclusion.
• Support young people to build confidence and practical life skills during sessions.
