Job summary

Blackburn College is seeking an enthusiastic Assistive and Learning Technologist to promote digital inclusion and enhance student learning through technology. You will advise on assistive technologies, train staff and support learners with additional needs, embedding accessible practices and exploring AI and VR tools to enrich teaching across the college.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners and staff in a technology-focused environment.
• Strong understanding of assistive technologies to improve accessibility.
• Experience supporting a range of digital learning systems and technologies.
• Proven ability to deliver training and guidance to staff and students.
• Experience producing guidance materials, learning resources or digital content.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist advice, training and guidance on assistive tech and digital tools.
• Support students with additional learning needs to access learning via technology-based solutions.
• Assist staff to embed accessible and inclusive teaching practices.
• Develop digital skills and adopt emerging technologies like AI, VR and immersive learning.
• Collaborate across curriculum and support areas to promote inclusion.
