Job summary

E-ACT Ousedale School in Newport Pagnell is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students’ learning under direction of teaching staff. You will assist with classroom activities, reinforce learning goals, and support pupils with special needs to promote an inclusive, positive learning environment.

The role is full-time (32.5 hours, term-time only) with progression on a structured pay scale and access to benefits.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English minimum grade C/4 or equivalent
• Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification or equivalent or relevant experience
• Relevant educational experience supporting a child/children in a school setting and the relevant age range
• Ability to work with an individual child or with a group

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
• Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
• Assist with the implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour plans and Personal Care programs under the supervision and guidance of teaching staff.
• Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.
• Implement planned learning activities/teacher programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to pupils’ responses as appropriate.
