Job summary

The Laurus Trust is hiring a Teaching Assistant at Cheadle Hulme Primary School in Stockport. The role supports pupils aged 4 to 11 in class, with a focus on learning, inclusion and wellbeing, including lunchtime and before/after school activities when needed.

The contract is 30 hours per week, term time only, with a start date of 4 January 2027. Visa sponsorship is not available. The post offers flexible working arrangements where feasible and access to staff development.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or above in childcare or play work or equivalent qualification.
• GCSE Maths and English at grade A*-C or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning, personal development and inclusion of pupils in line with the school's ethos and policies.
• Support pupils' learning in the classroom.
• Promote inclusion and wellbeing.
• Help create a safe, engaging and nurturing environment where every child can succeed.
• Support lunchtime provision.
• Contribute to before and after school activities where required.
