Pokesdown Community Primary School in Bournemouth is seeking an exceptional SENDCo to join our friendly team. You will champion inclusive practice, lead SEND provision and work closely with families and professionals to ensure every child is valued and supported.

In January 2027, we will open new ASD Resource Bases, enhancing specialist support for pupils with autism. The role carries a teaching commitment and opportunities to influence practice across the school.

Qualifications

• Champions high-quality SEND provision and inclusive mainstream practice.
• Strong understanding of SEND legislation and codes of practice.
• Ability to lead, inspire and support colleagues to deliver inclusive teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teaching commitment and leadership responsibilities within a supportive team.
