Job summary

Supply Desk are seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join a welcoming specialist school in Andover. This maternity cover from November to Summer 2027 offers a chance to deliver engaging, personalised learning to pupils with diverse needs.

Qualifications

Passionate about delivering high-quality, inclusive education and supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.
Experience or understanding of supporting pupils with various SEN including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech/language needs.
Able to differentiate learning to meet individual needs.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
Support pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs.
Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
Monitor progress and maintain accurate records in line with EHCP targets.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and external professionals.
Promote positive behaviour, confidence and emotional wellbeing.
Adapt teaching strategies and resources to support engagement and achievement.
Encourage pupils to develop independence, communication and social skills.
