Inclusive Learning Teaching Assistant Apprentice

We are looking to recruit two Level 3 apprentices to join our Inclusive Learning Department at the City of London Freemen's School in Ashtead, Surrey. Working closely with class teachers, you will help pupils expand their knowledge and play a positive role in school life. You should have strong communication skills, be positive, friendly, adaptable, and capable of building relationships with children while demonstrating a growth mindset.

This role is based at City of London Freemen’s School, Ashtead Park, Surrey, KT21 1ET, and lasts for 24 months, including time to complete your End Point Assessment.

Key details:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Required for September 2025

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment. The position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act, and a Criminal Record Bureau check will be required as part of the selection process.

Eligibility criteria include:

  • Being 16 or over by the end of the summer holidays
  • Living in England
  • Not in full-time education at the time of applying

Applicants should have or be working towards GCSE Grade C/5 or equivalent in English and Maths. Prior learning or experience that exceeds the apprenticeship level may disqualify applicants based on funding rules.

Non-UK citizens must have permission from the UK government to reside in the UK and have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least three years prior to starting the apprenticeship.
