Derby College Group is seeking a mature female support worker to provide calm, consistent and nurturing support for students with additional learning needs. You will apply trauma-informed practices and collaborate with specialists to address academic, social, and emotional development in a diverse educational setting.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, equality, and ongoing professional development within a supportive college environment, with opportunities for progression and wellbeing support.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in providing tailored support to learners with additional learning needs.
• Sound understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, the Equality Act 2010, and current SEND reforms.
• Trauma-informed approach and understanding of PDA, Speech and Language needs, and ELSA principles.

• Provide a range of support services inside and outside the classroom to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Offer tailored assistance to students with inclusion and support needs to ensure equitable access to opportunities.
