Job summary

EKC Group at EKC Ashford College is seeking a Learning Support Practitioner to provide tailored, one-to-one and group support for students with high needs across Entry Level to GCSE English/Maths. You will assist learners in classrooms, workshops and enrichment activities, promoting independence and confidence.

You will join a committed Inclusive Learning Support team, with full training and safeguarding commitments, working 25 hours per week during term time, across a varied pattern

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to manage behaviour in a classroom setting.
• Experience in supporting students with SEND or diverse learning needs is desirable.
• Comfort with assisting personal care and welfare needs where required.

Responsibilities

• Provide inclusive, person-centred support to students with SEND.
• Assist learners in classroom sessions, workshops and enrichment activities.
• Offer guidance to promote independence and confidence.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals.
• Support students in achieving qualifications and progression goals.
• Assist with personal care where required (full training provided).
