Job summary

East Kent Colleges Group is seeking Learning Support Practitioners to empower students with additional needs at Canterbury College. You will provide tailored one-to-one and group support, help learners in classrooms and workshops, and work with staff to promote independence and confidence.

Applicants should have strong communication, a passion for helping students succeed, and be committed to safeguarding. Training is provided for personal care and other needs.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Understand behaviour management and safeguarding principles.
• Passion for inspiring students to engage in learning.
• Enthusiastic about supporting students with high needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide inclusive, person-centred support to students with SEND.
• Assist learners in classroom sessions, workshops and enrichment activities.
• Collaborate with lecturers and other support staff to ensure inclusive learning.
• Support students' personal care, mobility, and medical/feeding needs where required.
