Job summary

South Ascot Village School in Ascot is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a friendly team. You will support teaching and learning across the school, work with teachers and school leaders, and help create engaging activities that enable all pupils to succeed.

The role covers class support, small groups and one-to-one work, learning resources, and implementing individual plans and behaviour strategies. Prior experience is welcome, but willingness to learn is valued.

Qualifications

Good standard of education including English and Maths.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Understanding safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

Responsibilities

Supporting pupils in class, in small groups and one-to-one.
Assisting teachers in delivering high-quality learning activities.
Providing targeted support for pupils with a range of learning needs.
Preparing resources and learning materials to support lessons.
Supporting the implementation of individual education plans, interventions and behaviour strategies.
Supervising pupils during lunchtime and breaktimes.
Supporting pupils' personal care needs where necessary.
Building positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
