Maiden Erlegh School is seeking dedicated classroom support staff to work with teachers and ensure students access the curriculum. You will assist individual learners and groups, respond to SEND and behavioural needs, and build confidence and independence through guided activities.

Two full-time roles and one 18-hour part-time role are available. The school champions inclusion and high standards, offering strong development opportunities and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• You will hold a Level 2 qualification in supporting teaching and learning.
• English and Mathematics Level 2 qualifications are required.
• Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Work with teachers to understand lesson objectives and student needs.
• Support individual students and small groups to access learning activities.
• Check understanding and provide prompts to aid learning.
• Encourage participation, thinking skills and independent learning.
• Provide feedback to teachers to support assessment and planning.
• Support positive behaviour and a safe learning environment.
• Help SEND students with targeted interventions and confidence building.
• Prepare learning resources and run small intervention groups.
• Collaborate with SEND colleagues to promote inclusion.
