Job summary

The Sheffield College is seeking a qualified professional to assess individual learner needs, plan targeted interventions and provide practical support to staff for inclusive learning. You will work across campuses, prioritising a varied caseload and ensuring timely records while respecting diverse social and cultural contexts.

You will develop and review person-centred support plans and collaborate with learners and colleagues to remove barriers and promote participation and progression in

Qualifications

• Experience assessing learner needs, strengths and barriers to learning and identifying reasonable adjustments.
• Experience developing and reviewing person-centred support plans with learners and colleagues.
• Experience planning, delivering and evaluating targeted interventions to meet learner needs.
• Experience advising and supporting teaching and delivery colleagues to foster inclusive learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate targeted interventions for identified learner needs.
• Provide guidance and practical support to teaching, assessment or delivery staff for inclusive practices.
• Collaborate with learners and partners to remove barriers and improve participation and progression.
• Maintain accurate and timely records while managing a varied caseload and prioritising effectively.

Ability to manage a varied caseload, prioritise effectively andmaintain accurate and timely records.

Understands and is sensitive to social, ability, cultural and racialdifference.

Ability and willingness to work flexibly across College campuses andother learning environments, and at varying times according to learner andservice needs.

Experience ofsupporting learners within Adult Learning, Apprenticeships and/or HigherEducation.

Level 2 English and Maths qualification or equivalent.

Relevant Level 3 orabove qualification in education, SEND, disability, learning support or arelated field.

Specialistqualification relating to SEND, disability, neurodiversity, assessment orinclusive practice.

Teaching/training qualification or willingness to work towards one.
