Job summary

Dovetail and Slate Limited is seeking a Specialist Tutor for Inclusion in Berkshire. You will provide tailored teaching and learning support to students needing additional help to access and succeed in their studies.

You will adapt delivery to individual needs, collaborate with teaching staff, and help remove barriers to achievement while monitoring progress and providing early intervention as required.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting learners with additional needs or specific learning difficulties
• Ability to adapt teaching and resources to individual requirements
• Strong communication skills and a patient, encouraging approach
• Genuine commitment to inclusive education and learner success
• Desirable: teaching/specialist qualification; FE/college experience; knowledge of assistive tech and inclusive strategies

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist one-to-one and small-group tuition to students with additional learning needs.
• Assess individual learning needs and plan support to access the curriculum.
• Developing and adapting resources and strategies for varied learning styles.
• Work with teaching and support teams to ensure inclusive approach.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback and early intervention when needed.
