The University of Manchester is seeking a motivated Collections Engagement Officer (0.8 FTE, fixed-term maternity cover) to work at the Ahmed Iqbal Ullah RACE Centre. You will lead engaging activities to raise knowledge, value and use of the Centre's library and archive collections among diverse audiences, including schools, communities and the public.

Embedded anti-racism and social justice will guide all engagement work, with a focus on inclusive practice and building meaningful partnerships

Formación

• Experience of embedding anti-racism and social justice in engagement activities.
• Experience of working with collections.
• Ability to develop and deliver inclusive and creative engagement activities.
• Experience of working with a range of audiences and stakeholders.
• Commitment to the values of anti-racism, community partnership and inclusive practice.

Responsabilidades

• Increase knowledge, value and use of the Centre's library and archive collections through engagement activities.
• Engage with academic audiences, schools, communities and the public.
• Embed racial and social justice in creative collections-based work.
• Develop and maintain partnerships supporting engagement with the Centre's collections.
• Support the Centre's mission to make Global Majority history accessible.
