St Bernard’s Catholic High School in Barrow is inviting applications for two Teaching Assistants to join the Inclusion Department. One post is 17.5 hours per week and the other 18.5 hours; hours are negotiable for the right candidate. The role is term-time only (39 weeks) with pro rata pay.

Salary is £25,989 FTE (PCD 5, Scale Point 6) with pro rata values of £10,526 (17.5 hours) and £11,127 (18.5 hours). Start is as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Support pupils’ social, physical and emotional well-being to help them realise their full academic potential.
• Work with individuals or small groups to support pupils with SEN under supervision of teaching staff and the SENCO.

Responsabilités

• Support pupils’ social, physical and emotional well-being in a range of curriculum areas.
• Assist teaching staff to deliver learning activities and manage pupil behaviour.
• Support inclusion strategies inside and outside the classroom.
