Job summary

St Cecilia's RC High School invites applications for a Teaching Assistant Level 2(B) (30 hours per week). The post, based in Longridge, Preston, Lancashire, offers a salary between £17,929 and £20,034 and a pattern of Monday to Friday, 8:45am–3:15pm, term time only.

The successful candidate will work under the SENDCO to support in-class and extracurricular activities. We value candidates who are confident with children, friendly, team-spirited, with excellent communication skills and sensitivity

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 or above qualification - appropriate to the post (or equivalent).
• Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy.
• Experience of working in a relevant classroom/service environment.
• Experience of Administrative work.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of in-class and extra-curricular activities under supervision.
• Work under the direction of the Associate Assistant Headteacher/SENDCO.
