Job summary

St Bernard’s Catholic High School in Barrow is inviting applications for two Teaching Assistants to join the Inclusion Department. One post is 17.5 hours per week and the other 18.5 hours; hours are negotiable for the right candidate. The role is term-time only (39 weeks) with pro rata pay.

Salary is £25,989 FTE (PCD 5, Scale Point 6) with pro rata values of £10,526 (17.5 hours) and £11,127 (18.5 hours). Start is as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Support pupils’ social, physical and emotional well-being to help them realise their full academic potential.
• Work with individuals or small groups to support pupils with SEN under supervision of teaching staff and the SENCO.

Under the supervision of teaching staff and the school SENCO you will undertake a range of tasks to support teaching and learning of pupils with special educational needs by working with individuals or small groups either in or outside of the classroom.
