Job summary

Discovery Primary Academy, part of the Four Cs Multi Academy Trust, is seeking a General Teaching Assistant to support individual children and small groups within the inclusion base, collaborating with the SENDCo to follow lessons.

The role involves one-to-one support, emotional and social development, assisting in classrooms, and occasional personal care. The school emphasizes a caring, inclusive staff team and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Good standard of written and spoken English.
• Good Maths skills.
• Empathetic and adaptable approach.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and solve challenges.

Responsibilities

• Support individual children and small groups within the inclusion base, working with the SENDCo
• Work one-to-one with children so they can follow the lesson
• Support children across the academy academically, emotionally and socially
• Support high quality teaching in classrooms alongside class teachers
• Work with the SENDCo, class teachers and other support staff
• Provide personal care for some children as required
