Job summary

Claycots School is seeking an Inclusion Teaching Assistant to help pupils with SEND access learning and achieve independence. You will work closely with the SENCO and teachers to translate targets into practical activities and support ongoing development of inclusive strategies.

The role emphasizes building strong relationships with children and families, promoting wellbeing, and supporting social and emotional development within a caring school community.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of SEND and EHCP processes.
• Ability to translate individual targets into meaningful learning opportunities.
• Patience, resilience and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support for pupils with SEND and EHCPs in the classroom.
• Contribute to development and review of support programmes and attend Annual Reviews.
• Work with teachers to adapt learning and support pupils' personal, social and emotional development.
• Collaborate with SENCO and the Inclusion Team to ensure optimal learning opportunities.
