Job summary

Weatherhead High School invites applications from a reliable, articulate professional to support students with broad inclusion needs. You will work with the Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion to help students achieve their potential and build independent learning skills.

The role may suit a fully qualified teacher or someone who has worked closely with young people but does not hold QTS. We welcome both full-time and part-time applicants who are committed to vulnerability-inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support students 1:1 or in small groups to aid educational development and independence.
• Plan and deliver an engaging inclusion curriculum and some lessons to small groups.
• Collaborate with staff to maximise opportunities for vulnerable students.

Working withthe Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion, this post will enhance the supportavailable to our students to ensure that they achieve their full potential. We wish to appoint a motivated and creativeperson with a genuine passion for maximising the potential of our mostvulnerable students.

If appointed, you will be part of asuccessful team working with an enthusiastic group of highly committed teachersand support staff who strive to provide the best education and opportunitiesfor our students who may have challenges which mean they find school hard attimes.

The successful candidate will work with studentseither 1:1 or in small groups to support their educational development andpromote independence. We are looking fora talented, innovative practitioner with a passion for supporting vulnerablestudents and will have the skills to plan and implement an engaging inclusioncurriculum as well as deliver some lessons to small groups.
