Job summary

North Hertfordshire College seeks an Inclusion Assistant to support students with diverse learning needs across Stevenage campuses. The role supports learners inside and outside the classroom, using adapted materials and accessible tech to foster independence.

You will work with the ALS team to help students progress toward aspirational goals and participate in EHCP reviews. The post is a permanent, full-time role on a 0.74 FTE basis, with duties across the Stevenage Engineering and Construction

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with diverse needs is desirable.
• Familiarity with EHCPs and safeguarding policies is beneficial.
• Ability to use assistive technology to aid learning.

Responsibilities

• Implement strategies to support diverse learners with EHCPs and barriers to education.
• Assist teaching staff with learning activities and adaptive tech.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor individual targets and EHCP outcomes.
• Provide 1:1 or small group study skills and pastoral support.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, and medication as required.
• Support students with work experience placements and safeguarding compliance.
