Job summary

Pathway Trust seeks an Inclusion Support Assistant for Charfield Primary, term-time hours, 19.5 per week. You will assist with learning activities, support student transitions, and aid with safeguarding while collaborating with staff and families to enhance inclusion.

You should have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and experience helping learners with SEMH needs, plus strong ICT and literacy skills to write clear reports and plans.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs and delivering 1:1/group activities.
  • Ability to de-escalate and support engagement and inclusion.
  • Strong literacy, report writing and planning skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver learning activities to individuals or groups, including non-teacher-led sessions.
  • Support students 1:1 or in groups to meet targets and overcome SEMH barriers.
  • Work with SLT to develop and implement engagement plans.
  • Plan and resource learning environments and provisions.
  • Maintain records and report student progress to teachers.
  • Collaborate with families, staff and external partners; ensure safeguarding.

Job description

**Job title:** Inclusion Support Assistant**Salary:** PATH 6 - £29,542 FTE, £13,391 prorated**Hours:** 19.5 per week, 39 weeks of the year (term time only + INSET)**Contract Type:** Fixed term until 31/08/2027**About the Role**Working under the direction of the SENDCo, you will help ensure students who experience difficulty engaging with learning get the tools needed to achieve personal and academic success. You will support student transitions into school, deliver defined learning activities, and support staff and parents with strategies to promote integration. You will also carry out key screening activities with mobile students to deliver support at the point of need.**Key responsibilities include:*** Delivering specific learning activities to individuals or groups, including groups without a teacher present.* Supporting students in or out of the classroom through 1:1, group, or in-class interventions to meet learning plan targets and overcome social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) barriers.* Working with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to develop and implement specialist learning and engagement plans.* Contributing to the planning, preparation, and resourcing of learning environments and alternative provisions.* Maintaining required school records and providing feedback and reports on student progress to teachers.* Working within multi-agency frameworks and maintaining relationships with families, staff, and external partners.* Promoting classroom inclusion, using ICT to support learning, assisting with break-time supervision, and adhering to whole-school policies on safeguarding, behaviour, and health and safety.**About You**You hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) with relevant experience, or have substantial experience working in a similar role.
