Job summary

Cheadle Hulme School is seeking an Inclusion Student Manager to join our pastoral team, supporting pupils who require additional help to access and engage with learning across the Junior and Senior Schools.

This non-teaching role focuses on removing barriers to learning, coordinating personalised pathways, and providing flexible support. Start date: September 2026; salary £33,726 per annum (FTE £40,222) with term-time/permanent terms.

Qualifications

• Educated to A Level standard or equivalent.
• Experience supporting young people in an educational, pastoral or inclusion-focused role.
• Experience of working with vulnerable pupils and removing barriers to learning.
• Experience of working collaboratively with parents and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tailored support for pupils whose education requires flexibility due to medical needs, SEND, anxiety-based school avoidance, emotional wellbeing or other barriers to engagement.
• Provide planned and reactive cover for Student Managers during periods of absence, ensuring continuity of pastoral support across the School.
• Contribute to a coherent whole-school approach to inclusion by supporting pupils and strengthening transition arrangements.
