Job summary

Buckinghamshire Council is seeking two enthusiastic, experienced teachers to join our Experts at Hand Service to influence inclusive practice across Buckinghamshire schools, Alternative Provision and Post-16 providers for children with SEND.

Holds QTS and a degree; substantial classroom experience with SEND; you will coach, advise, train and produce high-quality reports. The roles require a full driving licence and travel across Buckinghamshire.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and is educated to degree level.
• Substantial classroom teaching experience, including SEND.
• Knowledge of SEND legislation, inclusion and evidence-based interventions.
• Experience working with families and multi-agency partners.
• Strong communication, consultation and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development of inclusive practice across schools and providers through consultation and coaching.
• Improve outcomes for children at risk of exclusion or needing additional support.
• Manage a caseload of children with SEND and complete statutory tasks.
• Contribute to EHCP reviews and education provision planning.
• Design, deliver and evaluate training to strengthen workforce capacity.
• Monitor impact through feedback and evidence to inform service development.
• Collaborate with families, education settings and other agencies to promote inclusion.
