Job summary

Enfield Council invites applications for a Best Start Inclusion Practitioner to support children and families across Family Hubs and early years settings. You will deliver parenting programmes, provide guidance, and coordinate with partner agencies to promote inclusive practice from the earliest stages of development.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting children with additional or special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
• Knowledge of current early years frameworks, legislation, and best practice.
• Strong partnership working skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with associated teams, families, early years providers, and multi-agency professionals.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and record-keeping skills.
• The ability to work independently, prioritise workload effectively, and manage a varied caseload.
• A commitment to equality, inclusion, and improving outcomes for children and families.

Responsibilities

• Promote inclusive practice for children and families in early years and education settings.
• Deliver group and individual parenting intervention programmes.
• Provide advice, guidance, signposting and practical support to families with children in the early years.
• Collaborate with Family Hubs, partner agencies, and services to identify needs early and remove barriers to learning.
