Job summary

Enfield Council is seeking a Best Start Inclusion Practitioner to work with children and families through Family Hubs, early years settings and partner agencies. You will promote inclusive practice, deliver parenting programmes and provide guidance and practical support to families with children in the early years.

The role requires experience with SEND, safeguarding and knowledge of early years frameworks, with strong partnership working and excellent communication.

Qualifications

  • Experience of supporting children with additional or special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Knowledge of current early years frameworks, legislation, and best practice.
  • Strong partnership working skills with families, early years providers, and multi-agency professionals.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and manage a varied caseload.
  • Commitment to equality, inclusion, and improving outcomes for children and families.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver group and individual parenting intervention programmes.
  • Provide advice, guidance, signposting and practical support to families.
  • Identify needs early, remove barriers to learning and development, and improve outcomes for children and families.
  • Work with children and families through Family Hubs, early years settings, and partner agencies.
