Job summary

Reading Borough Council is seeking an Inclusion Lead / Early Years Teacher for Norcot Early Years Centre. The role is 0.6 FTE, part-time, with responsibilities across inclusion policy, teaching in EYFS, and staff leadership.

You will collaborate with local authority SEND teams, deliver CPD, and ensure safeguarding standards within a nurturing nursery setting. The post requires QTS, NPQ for SENCO (or willingness to complete within 3 years), and an enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• QTS with NPQ for SENCO or willingness to complete within 3 years
• Enhanced DBS check
• Experience leading inclusion policy and CPD

Responsibilities

• Lead on strategic development of key inclusion policies (Accessibility; SEND; Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Behaviour)
• Teach in EYFS, delivering high-quality inclusive learning experiences
• Lead LA-commissioned inclusion base and line manage support staff
• Provide professional guidance and lead CPD for staff on SEND, inclusion and behaviour
• Work with external agencies to support children and families
• Act as Designated Deputy Safeguarding Lead and uphold safeguarding standards
