Job summary

Netherthorpe School in Staveley, Chesterfield is seeking an Inclusion Centre Lead to lead and manage the school's Inclusion Centre, providing a safe, structured environment for students at risk of permanent exclusion or who struggle to engage with mainstream lessons.

The post holder will work with teaching staff, pastoral teams, parents and external agencies to improve behaviour, engagement, attendance and outcomes, promoting inclusion and helping students develop resilience and self-regulation

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the school's Inclusion Centre (IC) to support students at risk of permanent exclusion or with significant difficulties accessing mainstream lessons.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral teams, parents/carers and external agencies to improve student behaviour, engagement, attendance and outcomes.
• Promote inclusion and help students develop the skills, resilience and self-regulation needed to reintegrate successfully into mainstream lessons.
