Job summary

West Hill Primary School in London is seeking two Teaching Assistants to join the Inclusion Base, supporting SEMH and SEND pupils with a trauma-informed, relational approach. You will work alongside the Inclusion Base Teacher to provide high-quality learning, pastoral and regulation support in a structured, nurturing environment.

Term-time only, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, NJC Local Government Scale 1D, Spine Point 3, from Spring term 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND/SEMH.
• Commitment to inclusion and helping every child succeed.
• Understanding of positive relationships, boundaries and emotional safety.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training.

Responsibilities

• Support Inclusion Base teacher to deliver a safe, nurturing learning environment.
• Provide learning, pastoral and regulation support for SEMH and SEND needs.
• Help pupils access education and develop independence and progress academically and socially.
• Collaborate with mainstream staff to promote full-school inclusion.
