Outcomes First Group is looking for a compassionate Inclusion and Engagement Support professional at Wessex Lodge School. You'll help students with complex needs to engage and thrive, working closely with families and external agencies.

This role involves supporting attendance, wellbeing, and positive engagement across the school, using innovative, evidence-based approaches. Join us in making a meaningful difference in students' lives, as we place them at the heart of everything we do.

Responsibilities

• Support students' engagement, wellbeing and inclusion across the school.
• Build positive relationships with students, families, staff and external professionals.
• Assist with pastoral, attendance and intervention programmes.
• Support students during periods of dysregulation.
• Carry out home visits and family support interventions as needed.
• Monitor and report safeguarding, attendance and welfare concerns.

Job description

At Wessex Lodge School, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to engage, achieve and thrive. We're looking for a compassionate and proactive Inclusion and Engagement Support professional to help remove barriers to learning and improve outcomes for students with complex needs. Working closely with students, families, staff and external agencies, you'll support attendance, wellbeing and positive engagement both in school and the wider community. Through pastoral support, interventions and restorative approaches, you'll help students feel supported, included and ready to learn every day. Please note this role is based at our Newmead Farm and Maiden Bradley site.

• Supporting students' engagement, wellbeing and inclusion across the school.
• Building positive relationships with students, families, staff and external professionals.
• Assisting with pastoral, attendance and intervention programmes.
• Supporting students during periods of dysregulation using therapeutic and restorative approaches.
• Carrying out home visits and family support interventions where appropriate.
• Monitoring, recording and reporting safeguarding, attendance and welfare concerns.
• Helping implement and review targeted support plans and interventions.
• Attending inclusion meetings and following up on agreed actions.
• Supporting the Attendance Officer with attendance tracking and improvement plans.
• Promoting strong partnerships between school and home to improve outcomes for students.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and committed to helping every student reach their potential.

• Proven experience working with children or young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs in an educational, youth work, or care setting
• Experience supporting students' pastoral, emotional, behavioural or welfare needs.
• The ability to remain calm, confident and resilient in challenging situations.
• Good record-keeping, organisational and IT skills.
• A commitment to confidentiality, professional boundaries and GDPR compliance.
• GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above or equivalent).
• A full driving licence and willingness to travel between sites when required.
